Default cleaning suspension

Scotch-Brite green scouring pads and some mineral spirits (paint thinner) then rinse with water. BTW, they don't have to be taken off to do this.

Looks good to me Jimbo!
I don't think its **** though. These are C4 parts going on a new car. Here are some more pix, before and after, and the rear being installed. It just seemed appropriate to clean & inspect (repair if needed) the parts before installing them.
Somebody showed me a quick and easy way to make these forged aluminum parts look better than new so I thought I would share it.

I used Simple Green and a stiff detailing brush last year. I think after seeing this tip, I have some more work to do! Nice job, and great tip.

I started on mine, using steel wool and Mother's polish.

Coach, that is outrageous!!!
Has to be the best detailing I have ever seen.

I was amazed how fast the Scotch Brite pad clean the aluminum parts with a minimum of elbow grease (no machines needed). It only took a few minutes on each part. Just remember to rinse all the mineral spirits off good before it dries.
Rubber gloves recommended, as the paint thinner will really dry your hands out.

Beautiful Coach. What product or products do you use to get the wheel wells and other black parts so black?

That is incredibly impressive. Now and then, I'll consider cleaning more of the underside, but it gets shot to hell the next time I get under the car or pull a wheel off. So many nooks and crannies, I wouldn't even know where to start. I removed the battery recently, and the dust & dirt in there made it all seem futile.

I used a Scotch Bright pad, Simple Green and Never Dull. Was very pleased. I did the inside of the wheels with Simple Green and a Brillo pad. They were real bad and now look like new. Neighbors thought I lost it when they saw the Vette on jack stands and me underneath it cleaning the undercarridge and suspension.
