Default DYI Shifter Boot (pics)

I had been reading about one of our latest forum vendors Downsouthvettes who posted that dramatic leather interior work . I was impressed from the start and then they came out with that cool transparent top shade LINK that many raved about. They also covered that Stealthbox in leather LINK and than I said, I got to get me some of that . I was about to replace my shifter and hated that cheap factory vinyl shifter boot. A few email to Gerardo from Downsouthvettes and a black leather boot with yellow stitching was on it's way. The **** (to match the boots stitching) and some other goodies are soon to follow. I figured I would show you all how nice their work is and just how simple it is to swap out that cheap vinyl for some sweet leather. He can do many colors (great customer service), I felt the yellow leather was a little much for me so I chickened out and just got the stitching, I was just happy to have leather.

Remove the stock boot by pulling out the staples

The new boot from Downsouthvettes, NICE

I stapled in the new boot

Squeeze it back in noting the spots where the tabs go back into the slots and reinstall the ****. Once the **** is redone it will be a perfect match
