Default Dash Speaker Grill Remove/Replace

Does anyone know if the speaker grill in the center of the dash is fastened from underneath the dash?

The reason I ask is that I traced a rattle to the speaker grill.
Seems that the left side is not anchored. It also appears that perhaps part of a small plastic clip on the grill of some sorts may be broken, thus the rattle.

Hopefully it's just a matter of popping the grill off from the top side and replacing with a new one.

Thanks,

Jim

From the manual, no text just this picture, I assume you just pop it up

I ended up taking it to the dealer. The part (new grille) arrived this week and they replaced it today.

Looks like you need to take something like a thin flat blade screwdriver and slip down to depress a clip.

Pipedreams, can you see if the manual says anything about removing the speaker grills on the door panels, I've got an idea I've been toying with.

Thanks!

Here's a link that might be helpful. This came from the C6 FAQ.

The dash panel does in fact just pop off. Use a medium sized flat tip and pry. Use the PD images to make sure you pry where there is a retainer clip. Once you have one or two off, you can lift it enough to see where the others are allowing you to pop it by hand. You guys will crack up when you see just how much of this car is snap together. For the door grills, you have to pull the panels. The grills are held on by folding tabs that you can only get to from the inside of the door panel.

Maybe you should use a screwdriver but I just pulled mine off with my fingers. Pretty easy to do. Took about 45 seconds.
