Great idea I did this same mod when I owned my 350Z. Only drawback is that you will need to replace those strips every few months because the road rocks will beat them up. Plus here in Houston our summers get up to 100 degrees and the humidity makes them fall off.

When I had my Prowler many of us did the same thing to our grill. In over two years I never had a problem.

Great idea for the vette.

HERE YOU GO: www.creativeenginecovers.com this site is or will be selling OEM front grilles CHROMED hopefully in the very near future. I haven't called them recently to ask them if they have a TBA date yet, but its got to be soon(I hope).
Don't get me wrong, nice idea and looks good and all, but I want the real thing on this car; sorry, but that's just me.
Oh, I was told by the local Chevy body shop, that the front bumper cover has to COME OFF THE CAR in order to change the grille! It figures, right? Hopefully, this will be worth it?

FLASH: Just recently found out that this mod of a chrome grille will cost you $750.00 from CEC!
C'mon guys, $750!??? Give us a break-we don't need another loan. You're talking the price of a set of GM chromed wheels via the aftermarket. Tone the cost down a bit and maybe some of will buy!
Thanks

.............not to my taste, as it accentuates something I'd rather hide.

THe OEM front grille when offered as aftermarket chrome will look just like what I did....so if you don't like it now, your not going to like it later !!!! This was done without removing the grille and the front bumper cover does not have to come off to change the grille !!!
