Great idea 
I did this same mod when I owned my 350Z. Only drawback is that you will need to replace those strips every few months because the road rocks will beat them up. Plus here in Houston our summers get up to 100 degrees and the humidity makes them fall off.

Don't get me wrong, nice idea and looks good and all, but I want the real thing on this car; sorry, but that's just me.
Oh, I was told by the local Chevy body shop, that the front bumper cover has to COME OFF THE CAR in order to change the grille! It figures, right? Hopefully, this will be worth it?
FLASH: Just recently found out that this mod of a chrome grille will cost you $750.00 from CEC!
C'mon guys, $750!??? Give us a break-we don't need another loan. You're talking the price of a set of GM chromed wheels via the aftermarket. Tone the cost down a bit and maybe some of will buy!
