Based on your profile, I would start with General Dynamics. They are the only ones that work on subs, I think.

There is a guy in West Texas that is a forum member that had a sales a month or so ago for around $200.00. You send him your computer and he loads it and overnights it back.

I don't know how good his work is, but they were very nice on the phone.

These guys are real good.

I have my own logging software (EASE) and my own copy of LS2 EDIT. I would not get a "canned" tune. Make sure your tuner has at least some logged data from your car to make the adjustments.

If you need a mail order tune done, call Chuck at Corvettes of Westchester 914-332-0049. Chuck has done tons of mail order tunes and realy knows his s--t!! Just tell him what mods (if any) you have done to your car and he will know exactly what kind of tune to give you. He has many happy mail order tuned customers!! BTW he uses the latest version of HP Tuners which is far superior than LS2 Edit!!

No chip...you need to either send your ECM to the tuner and have him load it, or have HPTuners (or whichever software your tuners users) at home to load the file he sends you.

Jim Hall of Halltech also does mail order tunes using LS2 edit. Might want to check him out also. Don't have to send in your ECM, all done by e-mail and a personal copy of LS2 edit that is included in the package.

It's worth a look if you want a mail order tune.

On a stock car a mail in tune may be doable. However, its been my very unpleasant experience that when the car has significant mods, a mail in tune is virtually impossible. The car needs to be on a dyno to be tuned correctly.

That is my take on it also, with only Corsa sport catbacks and a Stinger intake, mail order tune for me is okay.

Extreme NewB here. Ordered my first Vette last week. Black w/ 2-tone ebony/cashmere interior, MN6, Z51, 3LT.
Has anybody purchased a new computer, had that one tuned and kept the original one stock to change out before a dealer service or warranty issue?

I just did a mail in tune with Chuck at CoW for my 07 A6 C6. I'm super pleased with the tune and all his help. He's right on top of things. Qiuck to respond to questions over the phone or by email. The turn around was one day after he received the PCM.

I love the lower end punch that the car has now. It's tons better than stock yet still very manageable. It's like a different car. Smoke burn-outs are available on demand. The 4.3 zero to 60mph is just sick..........2 tenths better than before his tune. And I did many 0-60's before his tune and the 4.5 was the best. The car is 2 tenths faster in the quarter mile also after just two runs and will probably get faster.

I have a G-Tech Pro screen shot of the best ever before Chuck's tune and the first two passes after his tune. The before speeds were the best of several passes while the after tune were the first two passes made. The screen shot displays all the quarter mile stuff, zero to 60 and other times/speeds.

Send me your addy if you'ld like to see this G-Tech screen shot.

Thanks to Chuck at CoW.

Bill
