Update: I ended up having new Earl steel brake lines installed yesterday. We'll see if the codes come back. Mike Norris sent me these to replace the Russell lines which are known for throwing codes.

Default ...

I have intalled steel brake lines (Wilwood brand) and brake fluid changed.

I had the error 'service ABS' and 'Service Active Handling' just after running the car.
Then I shut down the car, runned it again. No code.

Saturday, No code

Monday : 10 startups , 1 code

Today : no code

...

I have to wait and see. Are wilwood stainless steels brake line known to throwning codes like the Russel ones ?

Hi Jim, I no longer had the c1226 code for the RF wheel, however I started to get the c1225 code for the LF wheel which didn't have the ground wire. So, now w/ the free Earl lines that Mike Norris sent me, I thought it would be worth it to pay another $82 for another install just to see if all codes disappear permanently. I'll keep everyone informed of the outcome. Keep in mind though that I kept the ground wire on the RF wheel as is despite the new Earl lines. So we'll see if the c1225 comes back.

Update: Since the Earl lines have been on over the past couple months, no more codes. Hopefully a permanent fix.

Another update: So far, still no codes since the Earl lines have been on. Soon I'll remove the old ground wire installed when the original Russell lines were on to see if the new lines fix it all for good. I'll keep u all informed.

Final update on this fix: Still no codes w/ the Earl SS lines. Looks like a winner!

P.S. I love a good thread resurrection!

Having the same problem except C1225 Which is the right. I just electrical taped the line and wire to the harness maybe that will help!

Didn't help so I took the wheel off and added a ground wire. We will see if that does the trick!

Going to be installing some lines this weekend, not sure if anyone has a root cause or permanent fix for this?
