1969 Corvette Convertible
1969 Corvette convertible
$15,000
Forest Green, with tan top and tan interior 4-speed manual transmission, power windows, power steering, and T&T steering wheel, Daytona head lights.
The Motor and transmission were rebuilt approximately 6,000 miles ago, rear-end rebuilt last fall, also new universals, shocks and suspension parts. New convertible top last spring (canvas not plastic). About the motor: What I believe is the original block(rear casting #s 3970010) it was rebuilt with a Holley vmax system, giving the 350 over 400hp, the motor has Holley cam, Holley heads, roller rockers, and a Weiland stealth intake with Holley 750 carb. MSD ignition, aftermarket headers, with 2 1/2 exhaust. The car starts every time, and is very fast, steering and handling are firm, breaks work as they should.
This is a solid car aways kept inside, no rust anywhere on the car, it is a joy to drive and gets lots of looks.

Would make a killer Mother's day gift for the wife.
Good luck with your sale, it is a very nice looking car.
Man oh man oh man, I'd have to sleep in it if I pulled the trigger and brought it into our stable...
This one won't last long.
Great car.

I'm unsure about the engine description. You said you believe the engine is original and list the block number. What are the numbers on the pad? That will tell you whether its original or not.
Also, whats the trim tag paint code? Do you still have any of the '69 interior/exterior parts that were removed?

Really nice car, and I love the top color with the green. Couple of questions: do you have the headlights (actuators) and is the wiper actuator the only thing missing on the wiper door assembly? Did the wipers work before you removed the actuator?
As for the replacement car, I had a '64 GTO that had plenty of room for the kids 'till #3 came along. Then it was '76 Dodge window van with a 440 in it that hauled us around.

I no longer have the headlight actuators or any other headlight parts they were changed over before I purchased the car, not sure about the wiper parts this is also as I purchased, do not drive the car in the rain and only replaced the top because it gets cold here even in the summer,(had to put on heater this weekend on my sunday drive), wiper motor is still there with wiring to switch including override switch. The engine was rebuilt when this happened the machine shop decked the block removing the #'s.

How much work is it to have the headlights converted back to original?
Is it possible to convert the headlights back to original without desrtoying the paint? The cutout is the same as for original lights?
I have never tryed that so i have to ask.
It is a relly nice car you have for saleI am very much tempted to go for a C3 convertible.
Is the colour original for the car? I like the colour also

I'm saddend to say I sold the car. Rick from East Coast Corvettes purchased the vet earlier this week and if you are in the area he will put it up for re-sale. When talking about the car with Rick he was very knowledgeable and knew stuff about the car I had owned and worked on for four years that I did not even know. So whether you want to see this one or just in the market see Rick at East Coast Corvettes.
