68-69 fender louvers question
I can't seem to find this in any of my reference material...
The rear-most louver (both DS & PS) of my 68 are blocked off from inside. The other three are open to the engine. Is this normal? If so, should the blocking plate (or whatever) be painted body color or black? If not normal, why would this have been done?

Yup. Blocked on each side. I've seen printed material which said the fakes were supposed to have been painted black at St. Louis to give the impression of being open like the other three, but every one I ever saw was painted body color.

blocked and blacked
The rearmost louver vent on each fender was blocked off, and was blacked out at the factory after the body was painted. The factory used a semi-gloss black paint except on cars that were actually painted black, where the louver was left in body color.
