Default where to get air filter for tri-power?

I am ready to get my '68 on the road for the first time. the air filter that came with it is foam around a wire screen (triangle), and the foam is dis-integrating. I can't find a local parts store that can even figure out how to order one. Where is the best place to get one? Should I get foam to go over the wire screen or spring for a K&N?

The foam does not get glued to the screen, but with age and heat, they do tend to stick to the screen. The foam was originally oil soaked, which would probably lessen the likely hood of the foam, sticking.

Most Corvette vendors should be able to fix you up with the foam, for about $25. Paragon has them for sure, as they're the one's actually repro-ing the 3x2 filter foam.

I ended up just ordering the K&N. I guess sinces there's no MAF sensor it will be OK : )

Surprised nobody makes a regular pleated filter for this, tried to look up all the brands but no luck, just don't much care for that foam wrap around.

Wish I would have seen that before, I even looked in the Ecklers catalog I have at home and did not see that anywhere, just foam...oh well, I Got my K&N Monday in the mail, surprised it didn't come with oil but it did have 2 stickers, so if I put them both on, it should go faster now...what is the best location for the most HP increase?
