Default Show car with a fine clear coat scratches?

Hey all, I have a 07 Z06 Victory red show car I bought 2 years ago. The paint is in exc condition but in the sunlight I can see some very light clear coat scratches here and there. I would like to remove those but don't want to do too much. I am buying a DA buffer and some polish. I tried "Scratch Out" from Auto zone but it did not do too much. After reading many of the threads here I am wondering if just a very fine polishing pad and polish will do the trick?

Doubtful. The clearcoat on Vettes is very hard. My friend's C6 Callaway had similar light scratches and swirls on it, and I had to 2-step correct the paint. I used Meguiar's microfiber cutting disks and M100 compound, then followed up with Lake Country microfiber polishing pads and Blackfire finishing polish. If you are lucky, your swirls are more superficial than his were. However, I honestly would go straight to Buff and Shine Uro-Fiber 50/50 pads and 3D One compound/polish. You may get lucky and be able to 1-step with that combo.

It's always best to try the least aggressive approach first to remove the least amount of clear.

"HDR Enhance" = On

A lot of it is lighting. But, a topper is a good thing. Personally, I'm a Seal and Shine guy and the guys that spend $$$$ on esoteric products have conniptions when they hear "Turtle Wax"

FYRARMS................You wrote " The clearcoat on Vettes is very hard. My friend's C6 Callaway had similar light scratches and swirls on it, and I had to 2-step correct the paint. If I cant remove my FINE (Very intermintent) Scratches with Buff/Shine 50/50 and 3D, should I revert to M100 on a Meg's 3" M/Fibre Cutting Disc......

Do you have any fear of polishing thru (2012) Corvette Clear with M100 ????

I have a GRIOTS G9, Porter Cable and a Long Throw DA I dont use very often

Will SONAX Perfect Finish or Car Pro Reflect accomplish much if anything on Corvette Clear ????

Thanks
