Ed and Ralph,
Thanks for that... Like I said, the earliest that I had seen the "radio delete" on a Corvette was 1972. Apparently, it was occurring at least as early as 1972.
Ed,
I'd agree. From what little detail that I can see, I would say that tank sticker is real. It also confirms where GM Canada is getting the information... Same source that supplied the information for the tank sticker. The window sticker for such a car would look VERY different.
Ralph,
Interesting theory on the antenna hole. I can tell you that initially in 1968, the hole was drilled as required. At some point in time, the hole was made a standard feature (or was being drilled exclusively) as most of the 1969 L-88s and 1970 ZR-1s that I have looked at in this area have had the hole patched. It is quite possible that the process was revised at a later date to omit drilling the antenna hole if necessary... Also not sure if the hole was in the initial layup of the fiberglass. It would be interesting if the OP returns... Perhaps he can tell us if his car is drilled or not.
Regards,
Stan Falenski

Probably the best move you could have made. I don’t know if I would say “more certificated”, but it certainly ties up any potential loose ends between 1993 and today. It would still be great to see some photos of your car and tank sticker. You have a really rare and interesting car and it would be great to see it.
Here are some photos of the 1972 ZR-1 that I restored.

Paul,
Wish that I could say it was mine, but that was a customer’s car.
There’s a lot to be said about me not keeping nice cars though… I seem to have gotten rid of a few nice ones over the years!
