Is it just me? New corvette owner observation.
So I have had my 92 C4 for almost two months at this point. (My first)
why is it that dipshits in $70k+ trucks and 4 door dodges want to try and act like a badass around a corvette?
if I spent that much on a truck, and had a payment more than a mortgage I’d be trying to conserve guzzoline as much as possible. Especially if I wasn’t using the truck to make money…. And it never hauled anything or went near dirt.
if I had a fourdoor anything, that wanted to be looking like a retro muskle car I’d be too embarrassed to leave the garage. Or I’d divorce my wife for making me buy a fordork…
I do keep forgetting to wear my corvette hat and Hawaiian shirt when driving in the car…
BUT I did finally get my license plate…
got this one just in case anyone was confused on what kind of car it is… I passed on the upper windshield tint that boldly states what I’m obviously driving…. This feels more expensive…
shitty pic because I forgot to get one in the daylight because I was having fun driving today.

We’ve got a lot of these mouth breathing cul de sac cowboys my way too. 80k trucks with the giant wheels and 5 inch spacers. Ride your *** then try to race you. Work with a guy with one. Remember him saying he didn’t want to put anything in the bed because it might scratch the bed liner.

I get that all the time when out in my 86. I just let them go if they are trying to see if they can beat an old Vette. I know what is really going to happen if I race them and what my car is capable of. A lot of laughs while driving

Crazy had a guy in a new lambo pull beside me and rev his V-12 ax like wanted to race (I was in my 93) I was thinking my old 93 still looks like a uber sports car that might be a race for a new Lambo or the guy was nuts, I just waved and drove on the grocery store ,it's a 31 year old Corvette still got it LOL .

I was going to make a joke about it but it wasn't in good taste... Anyway, I typically just smile and wave. I don't really care. It bothers me more when I am in an emergency vehicle... The colorful lights and sirens aren't for show or to try and keep/get ahead...

Safety Car
These cars hurt a lot of feelings back in the day so now, all these years later, they finally feel like they have something to compete with. They probably wouldn't try it around a new Corvette, though.

I learned a long time ago to just ignore them, anyone with a very powerful car that wants to go from a dead stop at a red light to in the 100mph range on a city street just is not to bright, if they persist I just give them a thumbs down.

I think a lot of cement heads buy a BIG truck to compensate for a small package.

Realizing the possible ramifications of this endeavor led me to a conclusion: this deep rooted behavior experienced thru out society (fill in the blank)
Yeah. it's all about the Traditional Prestige, Pride and Responsibility of Corvette Ownership.

I actually had some feller in a new corvette in the other lane and he didn’t act like a douche.
not sure what the latest is maybe an C8? it was that spaceship lookin’ sumbich…
his windows were tinted so I couldn’t tell if he was trying to wave at me and tell me how cool I was.
sharp looking vette for sure in white.
I had my windows down because that’s how cool I am.

Ive noticed that very few folks drive with their windows down anymore. I guess it messes up thier hair and the climate control system. Not me. Im cool like you.

I'm windows up this time of year but between allergies and asthma with the pollen... if I spend more than a few minutes outside I can't even see let alone breathe. Probably shouldn't operate a vehicle that way... I got a HEPA filter in the daily for that reason. Mid June and on I couldn't even tell you where the top on the vette ends up. Wish I was capable of enjoying it more opened up. Just playing with the cards I was dealt sadly.

I think the truck thing may have something to do with the fact these idiots have never owned anything with a V8 up to that point. They think it's fast? I can hear it now. Blaaaaaatt!!!!!! Measured with a calendar. Fed with a fire hose.

I never understood cabin air filters in cars..... roll down the windows and it's all for naught....
With the advent of cabin air filters, we are missing the finest event of the first freeze....
That blast from the de-froster vents at full blast of fan chewed up leaves....
Then in the spring a blast of leaves from the fresh air vents...
My 92 'vette is my newest car.... I dunno if it has cabin air filters of not.... gonna have to remove them if it does...

I haven't run into any real dickweeds yet, but I do get the "Oh, look at the old bald-headed greybeard with the midlife crisismobile" vibe a lot.
Damn straight, Scooter! I'm 73 and I've wanted one since I was 14. And by golly, I'm going to ride around at the speed limit (mostly...) with the top down and the windows up so the wind noise doesn't overpower my hearing aids!
If you want to burn the tires off your Mustang or Charger or whatever to impress me, you go right ahead. I'll wave on my way by after the po-po pull you over...

Had a genius yesterday in a LOUD mustardstain interrupting me listening to K-pop at a reasonable volume....
could have stomped his **** soundly if I was so inclined....
I would like to get some pink bumper stickers made up and follow these peeples and put them in a prominent place on their vehikle...
the bumper stickers would say.... "LOUD AND SLOW"
