Default New C5 owner looking for a double din radio recommendation

I'm a newer C5 owner and was thinking of upgrading the stock radio to a double din setup. I was planning on keeping the Bose speakers, just want a better radio setup. I've seen a lot of install videos but I'm still not sure what the "best" radio for this is. Any recommendations or advice would be welcome.
Thanks in advance.

I suggest getting a hold of Crutchfield https://www.crutchfield.com/car/outfitmycar/mycar.aspx They should have everything you need to do the conversion. Don’t cheap out, spend the money and get a quality name brand system i.e. Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine etc. In addition to the stereo, you’ll also need a dash kit https://www.crutchfield.com/p_120DP3...k.html?tp=3121 A harness adapter or interface https://www.crutchfield.com/g_103000...Harnesses.html and if you want XM radio, you’ll also need a XM tuner. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_220SXV...0V1-Tuner.html Crutchfield is really good to deal with, they have great customer service and tech support. After you decide on a stereo, I suggest you come back here and ask peoples opinions on the particular model you’re interested in to see if anyone has had any concerns with it.

I also suggest getting a hold of @VinceC5, he has a lot of experience with the C5’s, where I don’t.

Lots of folks seem to love that model.

I went with the ilx-507 because it is their current flagship with a high resolution screen similar to a current smartphone. It has wireless AA/CP and an optional physical wireless Bluetooth volume ****.

How does the BT **** perform? The reviews say you have to turn it on with each start to connect.

yes you need to bump it to wake it up before you start your car. if you forget, you can connect it manually after the fact.
