Default How much luggage will a C5 Vert hold?

From a road trip last fall. Soft bags in the compartments, everything else fell into place. Also had a case of bourbon in there since we visited several distillaries.

That's amazing. I thought my vert would hold quite a bit of stuff but sure didn't expect that.

It's actually surprising how much these things can carry. My wife and I do a 2-week, 4,000 mile road trip every year. My coupe holds everything, even with the rollbar.

The trick soft cases.

I have a set of rare fitted luggage for the Fiero. Not kidding. They are soft cases that fit the odd trunk. The same concept can work in the C5.

with the top down, can easily fit two rollerbags and two backpacks. Wife and I have traveled for weeks throughout the world with just that, can't imagine any road trip that needs more.
And agree-- amazing how much the c5 can hold!

Our trunk looked like that for our trip to Cocoa Beach a few weeks ago! That was our first real road trip in our '03; shocked my wife that it would hold everything we wanted to take and left room for her to purchase crap, I mean, goodies at Cape Canaveral and Ron Jon.

I was always amazed at how much I could pack into the hatch area of my C5 coupes and the vert is no slouch when it comes to luggage space either. The engineers did a great job taking into account C5 road trips.

Not sure I would want to try that in my car with my wife. Our big road trip each year involves a cabin on a lake in the woods of the UP of Michigan for three weeks. Heck the OP's trunk (which is very impressive BTW) is what the back of my Durango looks like floor to ceiling, from the back of front seats to the hatch, once we get everything in there including the previable kitchen sink. But "camping at the Mariotti" is a bit different than a cabin in the woods

When we go to the mountains, it is for sure the MDX. 1.5 miles off paved roads and way too much stuff for the Corvettes to handle. This trip was perfect for the Vert. Orlando-Charleston-Asheville-Nashville-Bowling Green-West Lafayette IN-Indianapolis-Louisville-Lexington KY-Kingsport TN-Savannah-Orlando. 2996 miles, 13 days, 3 distilleries, 7 states and averaged 28.6 MPG.

We are truly impressed my how much you can fit back there. I have a sub and amp in the main under storage and one of the side bins but we can get as weeks worth of stuff (mostly wife’s) into the trunk and they do get great mileage as long as your not constantly starting/stopping and gunning it. We get about he same 28.5 and that’s going through the Adirondack mountains in back roads going to and from lake placid every year!
