Well I got my new AMT motor mounts installed tonight. The factory ones made a heck of a mess when they started leaking. I'm sure all the new found power with the supercharger didn't help them at all.

The driver side went in no problem. That passenger side one is quite a bear though. I did manage to install them without dropping the cradle. Just jacked up the motor as much as possible, and had to unbolt the header on the passenger side to get that one out. Definitely not a fun job.

As far as the AMT mounts go, they were a breeze going back in with the single thru bolt.

Aren't they chrome? I've never had chrome rims. I thought they were much easier to clean/keep clean than polished aluminum.

And a big thanks for the comment about my car being one of the best looking on this forum. That means a lot to me.

Downside is they are heavy and the design makes the caliper to wheel barrel close and tricky to clean. I haven't found a thin enough brush to get in there so I need to clean the wheel then roll the car to get to the area where the caliper was.
Like when you’re applying tire dressing, but can’t reach the very last bit of rubber close the ground. Always have to pull the car up a couple feet.

They are easier if there isn’t a lot of nooks and crannies like some of these ice crystal, spider web, honeycomb wheels. I wouldn’t mind chromed OEM-style thin spokes, for example. Whoever came up with clear coating wheels probably got fired for making them too easy to clean.

I got the wagon wheels with summer tires back on, I so love them better than the thin spokes…. I know, I know…. I am special.
it is summer now in Sweden so I took the Corvette for a long drive on the Swedish west coast country roads.
feels good all the fragrance from the forests blooming…. Sweet…

Replica C6Z wheels are probably the lightest and least annoying to clean.

Finally got around to removing the calipers the previous owner poorly painted and replaced with powder coated ones.

Seeing the wooden ramps made me smile; I'm not the only one who uses them!

And that caliper looks great. Some day I'll get around to that...
