Default Aftermarket Clear Floor Mats

Has anyone purchased the clear plastic "poured like original" floor mats from Corvette Pacifica ? If so, how do you find them to be ? Would be interested in hearing from someone who has truly original ones as to whether these repros are actually close to the originals.

From Corvette Pacifica website

MAT SET-FLOOR-CLEAR RUBBER-WITH BOWTIE LOGO-PAIR-63-67 (#E20071)

1963-67 C2 CORVETTE CLEAR FLOOR MAT SET - WITH BOWTIE LOGO. NOT AS CLEAR AS E2595 - THIS SET IS POURED LIKE ORIGINALLY PRODUCED - WITH BOWTIE LOGO
Thx
Steve

Floor mats were never a factory added option. GM-approved clear mats with a bowtie logo were sold OTC by Chevy dealer parts departments before the end of the C2 production run. Floor mats are not a judged item. All that being said, I have used the rubber reproduction mats in Black, clear, and red. They work and fit very well, and stay laying on the floor, and will not curl up like plastic/vinyl. The clear mats will turn yellow/brown in a year or so.

Thx Mike. Is there a supplier of the rubber mats that you prefer or are they all the same just being sold by the usual parts houses ?

I think that they are all made by the same manufacturer but I haven't bought any in years. With all the Chinese crap coming into the country, I would be cautious of a extremely low price, and I would only buy from one of the corvette only vendors. It looks like the going price for the clear mats is about $75. Corvette Pacifica has them on sale for about $70

I have tried 3 or 4 different clear mats and, yes they all turned color within a year. I gave up and went to black mats which look great in my car.

Take care,
Steve

Thx for your input Steve.

Where did you get your black mats from ?

Steve (also)
but I'm a Hokie, not a rat-dog (if that lil guy in your avatar is yours, he's pretty cute).

I got them from Mid America Motorworks. Catalog #647-245.

They’re 4 years old. Here’s a couple of pictures. The last picture is my collection of clear mats that turned yellow.

My little Rat Terrier’s name is SinDee. I’ll tell her she has a fan.

Take care,
Steve
