Best 200 series street drag tires?

Hey all

I need a set of street drag tires for my 1990 Lingenfelter (has serious issues with hooking up 460whp 500ft/lbs on the stock rubber)

Looking at tirerack I see these Avon Tech R's

Are they any good, does anyone have other suggestions? Im trying to keep them 285/45/17 or maybe up to 300 IF they will fit safely...

The car never sees rain or snow so I dont need wet tires

well I have a couple of issues with this question ...

what's a 200 series tire ???

who makes a 285/45-17 ???? (your car should have a 275/40-17 tire size)

The Avon tire is a track tire ... while DOT leagal to drive on the street it will pick up alot of debris and it's extra stiff sidewalls are not very good for drag launches
