Default Speed Ratings?

How do speed ratings work on drag radials? If they are a traction A temp A, are they safe for high speeds? Looking at the Nitto's right now.

I have taken the BFG drag radials up to 147+ many times with no ill effects

Ya, but that doesn't mean it was safe...they might be though. I just want to know if it's safe to do 150mph down a desert highway with DR's...don't need a blowout.

in those conditions I would so "NO" that's not what they are designed for ..... the sidewall construction is designed to offer great launch traction but little cornering traction and sidewall/steering response ..... they are perfectly capable of high speeds but, high speeds and turns not too mention less than perfect road conditions I wouldn't risk it myself

Here's come good general information on speed ratings, etc., from Tire Rack.com.
