Default going to 17x9.5's with firestone firehawks

ditching the 8.5's- heard going with 275's all around on 9.5's is a good way to go - can then rotate the tires. (95 C4)Heard rave reviews about firestone firehawks, anyone had experience with these?
Any problem with using sawblade rear wheels (9.5's)on the front?
TIA,
-Mikeey :steering:

You will love the firehawks, I get about 40,000 miles on a set.

Great quite tire, handles well and a very good rain tire.

9.5's all the way around is nice for rotating. I had a 92 that had 9.5's all the way around and now my 93 has 8.5's. I don't notice a big deal in tire wear but then again I don't drive that aggressive and I keep a keen eye on my tire pressure at all times.

The sway bar may be a smidge smaller unless you have that Z07 or whatever that package was called but then again if you had that you would already have the 9.5s up front.

The only disadvantage is that the bigger tires up front often find every single rut in the road.

Let us know how you like those firestones, if you were riding on GSCs before you are in for a nice treat  :smash:

My 96 Z51 Vette came with 275s on all fours. I got the Firehawks at the beginning of last summer. They are great on the street, and the track. I would buy again. Don't know how many miles I'll get out of them yet, but it looks like they are wearing well, considering a "few" autox's. :D

Just ordered firehawks from tire rack. The good years have 19000 miles and are so loud I can't hear the radio. I almost went for the Michelins but found out they are an all season tire, which does not make a lot of sense living in Florida.
