i talked to wes at tirerack. they got the kumho runflats in last week, i ordered up right away and they should arrive mid-week. $808 shipped--very good price, and i hope they are good. i got almost 35k miles out of my gy emt's.

in any event, i'm having HELLACIOUS fun tearing the tread off my stock gy emt's whenever i can. last week (late at night, of course...) i left a 25 ft. stretch of goodyear rubber at a local corporate/industrial complex!!! wow was that fun. with an a4 & 2.73 gear, i could never really spin the tires, if at all. now, however, that is NOT the case! power brake to about 2500-2800 and then PRESTO! instant tire spin. i don't even leave it in 1st gear, just keep in in "D" and it'll wind up to and stay just a few ticks below redline with a little moderation of the throttle. waaaaay too much fun. now i know what i've been missing!
