I am in the process of having my 2001 converted into a 1953 C5 at AAT in Mi.......I want a vintage wheel look, such as Cragar SS or the Torque Thrust....every wheel vendor gives me the same puzzled look, and no definate answer....does anyone know if they will fit, or is it worth pursuing any longer ??? :)
Re: Cragar SS or Torque Thrust....fit a C5 ??? (tangled up in BLUE)
Supposedly, according to the magazine ads, Cragar has introduced a "forged, one piece (I think one piece)" SS wheel in 16' and 17" sizes. Unfortunately, none of the offerings are in a C-5 size.
I believe that American Racing might be a better choice. I've heard that they have a "custom shop" that you access through their website, so you might be able to find a "clasic vintage" style wheel in the size you need.

Yes, AR does do custom stuff. We have done some orders for street rods at the place were I work. I have seen a couple of those retro Vettes and I agree a wheel change would be a nice look.
