HELP! NEED Tires and wheels for RoadRacing

One thing I need to do: Get some wheels and race tires!!! I have HRE 547R’s and BFG G FORCE 18”s all around. I’ve been at 2 roadracing events and I absolutely will not bring these tires and my HRE’s to my next event. So I gotta get some wheels and Track Race tires that I can use for the track. But I don’t want to go crazy as far as $$$ on the wheels. I thought about getting Z06 repros for real cheap but I think the max size 295 on those wheels and I don’t know if there are good RaceTrack tires that will work with those wheels. Some owners have gone down to 17” wheels to capitalize on 315 BFG DR’s or Khumo Race Tires. I met one such owner at the track yesterday but he has some fairly expensice CCW wheels. What are some other suggetions and what else have some of you guys done? What are your thoughts on a superb rubber compound Track Tire? How about Longevity of tire (I know, stupid question but I gotta ask)? Anyone run on Hoosiers?
