Default [MI] - Wheel Restoration

New to area and need advise on where to go with set of 1989 wheels for restoration. I'm would like to investigate the option of going to the polished aluminum finish as opposed to the factory clear coat finish. I understand the polished finish is probably easier for a shop to do given no clear coat paint is involved. I have read some about doing this yourself but don't have the time to invest right now (am planning the drive to Effingham in 2 weeks) unless one of you guys has done it yourself and can tell me what worked.

Regards,
Geoff Clark

I don't know who can restore them, but I do know of a great stripping place. It's called Strip-It, they are on Groesbeck in Clinton Township. I'm sure the owner there could give you a couple places to take it for the final finish.
