Can I put 17" C5 fronts on the rear of my '01 Z06?

I am interested in running at Bonneville Salt Flats and need a narrower rim/tire combo than the 9.5" fronts / 10.5" rears (for safety as well as smaller frontal area ). Will the regular C5 17" rims fit on the rear of my car without modification/grinding? Thanks.

That would be a big YES
Ran at set of 17" Mag rims with Nitto 555 275/40/17s at Cruise-In IV on tha back for autoxing, 1/4 mile and around town. With the smaller tire dia. it gave me about a 3.30 rear vs. 3.15 stock.......every bit helps!
You can just see them in my signature :lol:
You may get service abs, reduced power, etc. because of having 17" tires/rims at all 4 corners. The computer likes to see the 1" difference front to rear. It drove fine, but if you get the message, just tap the brakes and/or hit the TC button.......have a nice day.

Not a C4 guy, But I would think you should at least check the back spacing. Post over in the C4 area, I am sure youll get a quick answer. :yesnod:
