Correct me if I'm wrong, but the rear/front track on 88-96 C4's is wider than 84-87 C4's. I'm not sure how they did it, but I know if you install 84-87 rims on a 88-96 they would stick out and visa -versa, correct. This brings me to my question. Does anyone out there have ZR1 11" wheels on their 84-87 C4? Do they tuck right in the wheel well and don't stick out? Or do they not fit? I have a 85 rear set-up for my 89 and I'm wondering if I put the 85 rear I would be able to put 11" wheels without worrying about them sticking out. I'm aware of the 50mm 11" wheels for 88-96 that only stick out about 1/4" but I think the ZR1 11" would tuck in nicer with the 84-87 track. I am I right?
My friend had an 84' that he ran 11" ZR1s on all four cornors when he auto crossed it. They fit fine. This is the best pic I have on this computer. Its the #725 car closest to ya.
Thanks guys! Do you know which set-up sticks out or better said, which combo tucks in nicer the ZR1 11" wheel on a 84-87 or the Grand Sport offset (50MM) 11" wheel on a 88-96? I have a choice of either set-up, but I'd rather use the rear brake set-up from a 88-96. Any pics?
