Default 225/55/15 or wider for 7"

Know of some good tires for 7" wide rim? I would like to go with the 225/55/15's, but haven't really found much of a selection. Know of any good tires of this size, or wider that will work with equivelant height?

It's my everyday driver- 88 beretta.
tirerack.com is a good site, but it isn't the same as personal opinion from the forum. I was hoping for some suggestions.

Are you looking for high performance tires or good all-around, all season tires?

Something with a good wear, so I don't have to replace them real quick, but with good performance. I won't be driving it through the winter

Has anyone here ever run this size tire? Any recommendations?

Off the top of my head, the new Dunlop is supposed to be pretty good. I think it's the A2 sport? I'd look at the Tire Rack site, or maybe Vulcan Tire for some Falkens. I recently put a set of Falkens on my wife's car, and so far, I like them. Not positive about your size, though.

It seems that the next question would be why that particular size? Are you trying to meet a very specific diameter?

I think that a 236/60/15 would be about the same diameter as the 225/55, although a little wider, and you probably be able to find more of a selection, since mid 80s Firebirds used them as original equipment.
