Looking for information on Firestone run flat tires

I have to replace my GY run flat tires, two damaged with nail holes. Can anyone tell me what luck they have had with the Firestone run flats. I'm nervous about putting on non run flats. We have had 5 flat tires in the last year from nails. We use the Corvette for long cruises and going to car shows. I want a tire for good milage, not racing. Any suggestions on other tires to fit my needs? I have to make a decision in couple of days so quick reply would be great, thanks

Hmmm, you have had more than your share of bad luck with nails. I can understand your reluctance to depart from run-flats. I think it fair to say that a large majority of people would give a :thumbs: to the Firestones. I don't know what sort of mileage you should expect, although I can't recall ever hearing anyone complain about a short life span. I believe Yokohama and Michelin are also well-regarded. I have 'stones myself and no complaints. Good Luck with your decision, and avoid those construction sites !!
