the 275/40/18 is only $142 through discounttire or $404 for a pair ordered and mounted by Sears. tiretrack dont carry them:( Good brand, look good but hard to find a review on these for a C5-especially rear tires going WOT off the line. OK, share some info pweaze

My experience has been that they are a mid to low end tire in terms of performance. They may suit your needs depending on the type of driving you will be doing. For example, I would not consider them at all for high-speed use like open track days or autocross events. If you are an agressive type driver, look at Kuhmo's, BFG KD's, or Bridgestone.

I would spend the extra money to go with a ultra high-performance tire. Are the Falken's a run-flat design?

If you go to the Tire Rack website and look at tires by brand name and then by ultra-high performance type, you should find some excellent prices. My local Discount Tire will match and even beat some prices from Tire Rack.
