Default Kumho Mx tires for the C5 ARE GREAT!

Just had these put on my vette in stock sizes and they are excellent in everyway! No downsides, if you can use the non-runflats. Compared to stock these are noticeably quieter, smoother, better ride, better handling, better traction than the stock tires. My vette actually hooked off the line today! Thanks, Luke at Tirerack, supporting vendor!

I hope this is a good choice. I'll be putting my Kumho's on some time this week. I'm not too concerned about the side wall markings, but it would be nice if they were different. I'm more concerned about the savings and the ride I get. The savings I got, have already gone to other mods.

I went with 255/40/17 F & 295/35/18 R on wider Mallett wheels.

The sidewall isn't the best looking but they work great on my SHO.

Just had a set mounted to my street wheels. I'm very satisfied with the ride. It's much quieter than the Goodyear runflats, and they handle very well also. And, you can't beat the price. I have an autocross event this weekend and the track will probably have some wetspots on it, so I'm going to run it with the Kumhos instead of my Hoosiers. It will be interesting to see how they perform under those condidionts.

Luke, I know you are just razzing me about the ugly sidewall! But really, when it is on the car it doesn't look that bad. The picture someone posted is very unflatering, they don't look that bad!

Got the tires put on Wednesday, I like them better than the Firestones I had. The price was great, the ride is better and there is not much sidewall to see in the first place. :steering:

Now all I need is some good weather .
