Tire Noob - Tire Size for Auto-x

Hello All,

I've got a 01 Coupe. I'm getting ready to Auto-x and have purchased Corvette 1998 rims. Here are my specs:

Tire Size Rims
Front 245/45-17 17" x 8.5"
Rear 275/40-18 18" x 9.5"

What size tire will fit? Do I have to get exact tire sizes that match stock sizes?

If you're new to auto-x, learning on street tires is a good idea to help you learn the dynamics of your car and maximize your driving skills because you're not using a 'filter' while you learn.
Go through 1 or 2 street tire sets, then, when you upgrade to R compound 'race tires', you'll really be able to exploit the limits they can give you...
Sorry if this is not the answer you wanted to see, but using this strategy(2 full sets) while I learned really made the transition to race tires that much better/faster for me...
