I had them on my '86 and they were the best tires I have ever had. Quiet riding, good grip in rain and dry. You will be happy with them.

That is the only reason I have the Michelin Pilot Sports now. I even wrote Firestone a letter about the 315/35s. Needless to say, no luck.

Re: Firestone Firehawk SZ50 EP....help please... (Mr Mojo)
I had the Firehawks on my prior 86 and really liked them. If they made a 315 I would have a set on the Z. They had a smoother ride and were much quieter than the GSCs. We get quite a bit of rain down here and those Firehawks were the best tire I have ever had on a car in the rain.
So if any Firestone reps are reading this... MAKE THE FIREHAWK IN 315/35/17 .... please. :D

I love the sz50 ep's. I wont buy anything else, they are the quietest tire i've ever used. If price is an issue go with the kuhmos.

I have Firehawk SZ50's on my 94. Great tires. Grip, noise, wear, wet -- all good.
