I have only ever heard good things about them. I was going to buy a set to put on my car until I saw the price. Then I went for a set of Yokohama Avid V4's.

i had firehawk sz's and they were ok. when i stepped up to the gs rims i needed a different tire. i went with michelin pilot sports. the pilots seem to handle better in the rain than the firehawks did. just my opinion.

Nice tire, but I only got about 18K mikes out of a set. Wife's car and it was driven very carefully.

I put a set of Firehawks on my C4 and loved them. Made the ride MUCH quieter and smoother. They were a huge improvement over the GSC's. I bought them after the Firestone/Explorer thing. I had an Explorer with tire probelems (mild, not flip-over) and had gotton one of the few that originally came with Goodyears on it. I wasn't convinced Firestone was totally at fault. Besides, at least at that time, the Firehawks weren't made in Decatur.
I sold the C4 before wearing the tires out so can't speak to durability. But based on my experience I would not hesitate to get another set.

I have a set of Firehawks and I really like them, specially on the rain. I belive there is a lot of difference between the tires they put on Corvettes and Explorers............

Run flats are made in Japan, presumably at a Bridgestone plant. I doubt there is any cause for concern.
