305/35zr18 for the standing Mile
Hi everyone,
I use normally Toyo R888R 305/35zr18 for the standing mile with a top speed ~197...
It is now long that those tires are in back order.
Any advice on what could fit instead of the Toyo?

If you're still looking for tires, the Nitto NT01 and Toyo RR also come in that size. Those are the only two other tires I'd consider for trap speed events like the standing mile.

Despite the fact the 305/35R18 Nitto NT01 are Speed Rated Z, do you know cars pushing them to 200mph in the mile trap speed?
TIA.

It's common for a number of organizations to allow for track oriented tires, even if they don't have the appropriate sustained speed rating, as they are meant to hold up to the heat generated. If the organization requires the proper (Y) rating, then you'll need to stick with that. *Apex does not officially recommend going faster than the tire manufactures speed rating*

Just installed them this morning, drove back to office and found the tire noise a lot less, also a better absorption of road crack and imperfection, and on my way tried a launch...grip was way higher vs. the R888R... definitively those one are an improvement.
