Default largest width rim on 79 c3?

whats the largest width 17" rim i can put on a c3? i was hoping for a 11" width/rim and 315 tire combo..any ideas? i do not want to tub the car, just want to know what the largest size is that i can put on without modifications :smash:

The largest size with our doing ANY modifications is 8". But if you relocate the parking brake cable, you can fit 9,5" rim with correct back spacing. I have 10" wheels at the back, but I'm using offset trailing arms to give the extra clearence.

11" with 315 tyres is too much without going to add fender flares :yesnod:
