I saw these wheels for sale, and photoshopped them onto my vette. The wheels are painted a charcoal gray, the same name as my vette. I don't know if they are the same exact paint, but they look close.
This is the pic I photoshopped
What do you guys think? Too dark? Don't get the same color as on the car?
I think it looks cool. I am probably going to go with chrome ZR1s though. I have a green 92 with the sawblades now. Looks great though. It is really hard to make a vette look bad you know.
I was thinking chrome ZO6 wheels as well, but too many people have them. It's the same for the a-mold style wheel in the pic, but I haven't seen any gray ones before.
Cool. At first I thought everone would jump in here and call me a ricer. I may try and find a cheap pair of GS wheels for sale, then have my uncle paint them when he paints the car. Would regular paint with a clearcoat hold up well?
Did anyone notice that I put 11" rears on the front? :p:
i really like the grey ones, i really like black ones but not always how dark the wheelwells get with them. the grey is just right, just not sure what other car colors would work with them but grey on grey is
IMHO, match the spoke color to the car, and keep the outer rims polished, just for a little contrast and "seperation" between the wheel and tire.

Re: Same color wheels as your car? (leadfoot4)
:iagree: Leadfoot has the right idea.
Some color cars look good with body-color wheels; white, for instance...and silver. The jury is out on black cars/wheels. Red: never body-color, only white or silver wheels look right on red cars. Blue or green cars need natural aluminum wheels, IMHO.
As someone said, it's hard to make a Corvette look BAD....some combos just look BETTER than others....
