Default A stupid question about storing tires

Hi,
I know this is kind of stupid, but I've never needed to store tires before. I have four inflated tires that I will not be using this winter. Two are BFG drag radials and two are Nitto 555's. I assume the proper way to store them is to lay them on their side and stack them. I also assume standing them up on their tread will cause flat spots.

Am I on the right track? If not, help me please.

Thanks.

You are on the right track. Put them in plastic bags, dark ones are best. Also keep them away from sunlight or anything that gives off Ozone, power outlets etc.
