They are Fikse Profil 5S with Michelin Pilot Sports. 18's front and rear. 265/35-18 front and 295/35-18 rear. Just got back from the tire store! :seeya :D
I got them from a local Discount Tire here in Houston. I would rather not say how much I paid, but I am very happy with the deal I got. Discount Tire price matched and then some to help with the sales tax. The lowest priced forum vendor I could find was Lingenfelter. I called Lingenfelter and several other forum vendors to get pricing for these and other wheels. I would like to let my fellow forum members know that only two vendors out of the five that I called got back with me. Those vendors were LAPD and Lingenfelter. I was very impressed with LAPD and especially Shawn. He got back to me almost instantly. The only reason I did not go with LAPD was because I felt more comfortable dealing with a local shop that is a nationwide chain. If I were to have any problems, I could just go down the street and have them delt with in person. These wheels have a custom offset in the back and I just was not comfortable going through mail order. By the way, Shawn told me he would price match.
I would also like to mention that my friend Ken (MySea5) ordered the same wheels with the same offsets. We talked extensively with Jim Fikse about these wheels and he assured Ken and I that they would fit properly. He told Ken that his wheel sensors would bolt up just fine without any special machining. Well, today at the tire store Ken found out that the sensors will not fit on the front wheels because of the way the face of the wheel is positioned with the "dish". It is hard to explain unless you can see it upclose. Also, the front valve stems that came on the wheel are recessed between the dish and face making it impossible to get a tire hose on the valve without an ugly extension. Discount tire is currently trying to work with Mr. Fikse on Ken's major issue and my minor issue.
Overall, I am very impressed with the look of the wheels, and the quality of the work. I am a little dissapointed that the deep dish look is taken away from by the way the face protrudes from the inside of the rim, but I realize the problem is not with the wheel, but with the way our car is designed. The only way to have a deep dish effect is to have a front wheel drive looking wheel with a convex face or have the wheel stick out beyond the fender. The brake rotor hub is so close to the outer fender of the car making it hard to have alot of "front-spacing".
