Default What is the best finish for wheels?

I plan the have my Y2K wheels refinished and need to know the best coating.
What is the best finish for wheels?
Which is better Powder Coated or Painted Wheels?
What are the pros and cons for each?

Your help is appreciated.

In my opinion high polished is the best finish. If it gets scratched or slightly damaged it can be polished out. The biggest downfall is you have to keep them waxed and clean so they do not get dull. A well polished wheel with a good wax job can look almost as bright as chrome.

I think chrome is great, but will corrode through in time and adds significant weight to the wheel.

Powder coating is good and durable, but expensive and hard to get looking smooth like paint.

Painted or polished and clear coated wheels are easy to scratch and much harder to make small touch ups on slightly damaged areas.
