Default Any experiences with Sumitomo HTZ?

I'm looking to replace my back Goodys (315/35/17) with something affordable. Kumhos don't come that big. What do you guys think of the Sumitomos. Price sure is right.

I have used them on both my 92 LT1 (sold) and my current 95 ZR1. Sumi's rock! :yesnod: :seeya

No experience with Sumitomo's (only know what I read here and in Tire Rack's web site). Kumho's do come in 315/35/17 as VictoRacers V700. Very sticky tire. Great for autox, roadracing and maybe even dragracing but not a daily driver tire. Very bad in rain. Other suggestion is Nitto 555R's (drag race). Comes in 315/35/17, can be used as daily driver and is a good drag tire. OK in rain. Both Kumho's and Nitto's priced about same at under $170 a tire. For street/drag use, I am buying a set of 245/45/17 and 315/35/17 Nitto 555R's for my GMC Typhoon.

i have them on my Grand Sport. I know they make a lot of smoke when I light them up... They seem ok when the road is dry but not to happy with them when the road is wet. The cost is like 160 for the rears and 121 for the fronts.. Would I buy again?? hmmm I think I would buy Goodyear super car tires next time around since they are coming out with 315 sizes.
