For those with chrome rims, in an experiment last night, I used 409 Window Cleaner and got quite impressive results!! The pics are below:

The rims had @ 2 months of brake dust, dirt, grime and other contaminants on them. All I did was spray them down, wipe once with a paper towel and then use a fresh towel to clean them up. Each rim took about maybe a minute or two.
