Default P-zeros vs. GoodYear F1 SC tires???????????

It is time for some new tires. I really like the F1 that my 02' Z06 came with but they are not very sure footed in the rain. I was thinking of getting the P-zeros. I have heard they wear fast, but they can't wear to much faster the the Goodyears. On the Goodyear F1 SC, my fronts wore faster than the rear.

Has any one made this change? If so what do you think about the P-zeros?

Thanks fella......

they DO wear faster than the goodyears, i've driven on both. the pzero is a better track tire in my oppinion & doesn't squirm as much when it's warm. both are great dry tires but they both honestly suck in the wet weather. right now there are only two tires made in a 295 35 18 that have acceptable rain traction. the yokohama avs sport and the toyo T1-S, both use a silica based rubber that is far better in wet weather, my personal choice of the two is the yokohama. i use z06 wheels on my c4 so i feel your pain tire shopping. since you actually own a z06 i doubt you'll want to do this but it's worth suggesting. i use my z06 wheels in the dry months here in oregon & then swap out to a set of 1999 wheels i picked up with yokohama avs es 100 rain tires for the wet months.

Thanks for the reply. I don't get to roadrace but, I do drive overly excessive on the street. My fronts are are done! I dragrace on occasion. This is my everyday car. Do they wear a lot more then the goodyear? Or is it marginal?

Thanks, I am going to order tires in the morning, I hope!

Where can I get P-Zeros? They are for Z06 wheels.
Thanks,
EDC

definitely hand down on the p-zeros and the wear is only marginal and the gain is excellent in my opinion dry and wet tried them on my 95 m3 as well as my 89 conv vette
