Default experiences with tire fitment -> c4 vette

Hi,
I'm thinking of ordering new tires, and really want a bit wider than stock. The cars is a '94 vert with buzzsaws. I was thinking about 315/35 17 for the rears, and don't really know what I can safely do on the front. Any help is appreciated. thanks.

It depends on offset of course but a 315x35x17 should fit but might stick out a slight bit on the back (the Grand Sport flairs would be good for covering them up) but on the front the largest you might be able to go is a 285x40x17 on a 17x9.5" rim, maybe a little bigger possibly.

The wheels are the original sawtooths (sawteeth?) and I believe that they are 56 mm offset. I'm looking for flush to the fender, nothing sticking outside. The original rear rims (I believe) are 17 X 11. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

:yesnod: That's what I went with, they don't stick out at all.

Your rear wheels should be 17x9.5's and 315's need a 11" rim.

you are correct, my mistake. C1s were easy compared to these new, high techy gadgets
