I currently am running265's in the front, and 295's in the rear. bfg g-force kd's.... anyone try running 315's in the rear? any problems without tubbing?
No problems, except the only 2 tires they make in 315 for an 18" rim are too short (Pirelli's) or too tall (GY Fiorano's). From 295, your next correct option is 325 (discontinued MMX's) or 335 & 345 Michelin Pilot Sports. I've done a lot of research on this. I have heard some people going to a 335 without tubbing, but you have to have the perfect offset and a wider wheel.
I'm gonna try the supercar tire 315 40 18 rear & 275 40 18 front on 11.5 & 10.5 rims respectively. Rear will be 1.2" taller than front which I don't mind, just hope there's no rubbing. Not enough sidewall in the 30 serie.

Hope you don't plan on using AH or TC. 1.2" will screw up your electronics which expect a certain tire height. The problem was never about physical issues going bigger/smaller, it was about internal/electrical issues. Good luck.

Good to hear it's not fitment issue, 'cause I was not sure about the 40 sidewall. As far as electronics, alot of people are running 315 30 18 which is 1.2" shorter than stock & I have not heard any problem to date, have you heard otherwise ? :)
