Super tire mounting and balancing in Cleveland, OH

I've always hated to go to the tire shop for mounting and balancing because of the rough way most of the techs (gorrillas) treat my wheels.

If you live around Cleveland, try White Wheel Aligning Service. Mike White mounted some Goodyear F1 tires on warranty from Tire Rack for me and I was more than impressed with the care and precision he showed. He said "We like to treat things the way we would want our own treated." What a concept!!

They use the Hunter 9700 balancer which can calculate where to mount the weights so they are hidden behind the spokes. Looks very clean! And the machine also does a simulated road test with a roller pressed against the rotating tire, to check for variations in road force. If excessive road force is sensed the tire is removed, the wheel can then be measured and the proper orientation of the tire on the wheel calculated to minimize the road force. It made for a very smooth ride on my new tires.

How much did you pay for a mount/balance?

They are on Lorain just west of 150th st. Off the car they charged $10 to mount, $10 for hidden weight balance and $7.50 to optimize the wheel to tire (each).
