I'm getting new Firestones put on Friday or Monday. The rear tires are in need of immediate replacement, but the fronts have good tread left (Wonder how'd that happen  ) Anyway, reputable tire dealer inspected them and said they had another 5000-7000 miles in them. I would be more than happy to sell them to you for a great price. I'll take pics if you want. that way you coud wait and get all 4 tires at once.
I got a set of Bridgestone S-03s mounted on my car yesterday afternoon. The only thing I can tell you for sure after having put just 20 miles on them is that they are much quieter.
The owner of the shop where I had them mounted (he campaigns a '93 Porsche RS) claims they are the best tires he sells and that the folks in the Porsche club he belongs to won't use anything else.
I'm taking them to Road Atlanta Saturday and will know more after that.
I'd personally be uneasy having mismatched tires on a performance car.

Thanks for the info. I am working with AlphaKnight34 on possibly purchases his Goodyear Eagle F1's for the front. He is having new tires put on all around and has about 7000 to 8000 miles left on the fronts. That would keep me from having to buy new all around for about a year.
When I do get the new tires all around, I am most likely going to get the Bridgestone Potenza's S03's. I have heard lots of great things about there cabin noice, traction, and handling.
Hope to see you when you get to Tampa in October! Got to get Mark to round up the Misfits for a Corvette day at HOOTERS!!!
Life is a compromise. You weigh your choices, make a decision and live with it. :yesnod: I've tried runflats. Now, I'm going to try non-runflats.
Last time I had a flat tire was 10 years ago. Maybe I'm due! If it happens, so be it. I've made my choice.
My son, GenerationX, picked up a screw in one of his SuperCar tires at an autoX in Atlanta earlier this year. We borrowed a plug kit from somebody. But when I pulled the screw out with plyers, I discovered it had flopped over on its side and worn down smooth without penetrating the tire.
Update: I took my Vette to Road Atlanta on Saturday and was very pleased with the performance of the Bridgestone S-03s! :yesnod: I had good grip in the curves and braking zones all day. :D
I have a set of S03s with about 2000 miles on them. Satisfied! -- ride, and traction is very nice. Purchased a pump, plug kit, a really neat little jack (on forum from Frederic) which fits in rear trunk compartment and a lug wrench. total $ about $100.
