Weights for the magnesium wheels...

Where does GM mount the balancing weights on the Magnesium wheels they sell? Do you have to mount the weights on the outer lip of that wheel (I believe just the fronts) due to the caliper hitting them if they were mounted inside the wheel face? Thanks

My front mag wheels came from the factory with the weights on the outside of the wheel. I have changed tires several times and you can place them on the inside but not within the first six inches or so, as you point out due the lack of clearance with the brake caliper. Never had a problem with a good balancing shop placing them elsewhere on the inside without issue. :cheers:
