Stripping and polishing Magnesium ........THE PICTURES!
They sure look good to me PRIMAL
Per Doug;
Well here they are. The polishing that was done was only by hand on my lunch hour . They came out much better than I expected. I know they will take a little effort to keep up but WOW what a shine. Much better than a clear coated polished aluminum wheel. When these get dull I simply polish them. enjoy! DJ
Good job Doug!

Thanks Throttle for posting :cheers:
These were polished by Xtreme Motorsports.
The dull pictures you see are how they were sent to me after
someone used them for a while but didn't like the upkeep it took.
When I saw them I had my doubts but they repolished so quickly that I deffinately wont mind keeping them up. The backside of the wheels were kept painted to protect the magnesium.
:D
Now I just need to save some cash for some tires!!! :cry

Wow :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: .
I can't believe how great they look. Of course as soon as I showed them to my wife she smacked me and told me I wasn't going to do that. But if the paint gets chipped......... :D

Xtreme Motorsports had them polished. I've polished intake manifolds,wheels and other metals with a kit I got from Eastwood. It worked great. Im sure it would work on these wheels. You can get most of the wheel with a buffing wheel but then you will need a couple of felt cones to get the rest.It looks like they were stripped with a normal gel paint stripper. Anyone have some REALLY CHEAP :D tires out there?
I dont think I'll be able to afford tires by the Corvettes at Carlisle show :( :cry
Thanks all for the compliments :cheers: :cheers:
