Have mine at 30psi cold F/R , I know these tires won't see 20k mi but thought I'd see what might buy more miles.
Obviously as long as I don't roast the rears...... :reddevil
Re: G-Force KD owners, best pressure for tread life ? (Intelman34)
[quote]I run 30psi in my 295/35/18 KD's[/QUOTE
I believe its a good pressure based on handling and tire stance, just wasn't sure how this compound tire wears. Some of these softer compound tires yield better tread life with more pressure.
Since no one has replied that has long term data on these tires I guess I'll run with this pressure and see how they wear.
Thanks.........
Re: G-Force KD owners, best pressure for tread life ? (evil-1)
I run 32psi, and have 20K miles on them with some signs of wear, but not much. Based on how they are wearing I should easily get another 10-15K+ out of them.
I don't consistently beat them to death, but have my moments :D
Re: G-Force KD owners, best pressure for tread life ? (Grzldvt)
Grzldvt, excellent feedback, most feel the KD's have poor tread life(providing your not auto-X'ing every day). It sounds like you drive the way alot of us ,progressive as sometimes aggressive..... ..thanks
Re: G-Force KD owners, best pressure for tread life ? (evil-1)
FWIW, I have the KD SSS (runflats) with about 20K miles, still at least 1/3 tread left. They are used mostly for daily driving but have had one road course weekend and several autocrosses
Fot street driving I set the pressures at 32 front/30 rear COLD in the morning, for track/autocross 36 front/34 rear cold.
Actually, I'm surprised at how well they are holding up, my first set of KD SSS lasted about 25-30K.
