I'm in getting ready to buy a set of tires for my 98 and I checked with my local tire dealer and for a set of Eagle F-1 GCS EMT's he was asking $1440.00 ??!!?? and also told me that Firestone didn't make a Firehawk tire in my vettes size of any kind:lol: ??? The local Chevy has already done enough damage to my baby in two visits:mad , I think it's time to buy out of my local area......AGAIN!!! Does anyone have any experience with the Tire Rack shipping tires to desolate areas of Texas and are their shipping charges "in-line". I'm also going to send them an E-mail and wondered who to contact. My dealer also said the Tire Racks prices were below what he could buy them for.

I'm not sure how small the town you live in is, but where I lived, before moving to Fresno, only had a population of 48,000. Which is very small compared to Fresno. Any how, Tire Rack got my tires to me with no problems, so I don't see why they couldn't get them to you without having any problems. Oh, and if it makes you feel any better, before living in Tulare, I lived in Waukena, which only has a population of 84 people. LOL. Now that's what you call a small town.

Just got through price shopping, in my small town, for new high performance tires for my '62. Found that Walmart had the best prices on the tires themselves, and even better "drive out" price when you include valve stem, life-time balancing, road hazard warranty, etc. Also, no shipping and handling. They're happy to special order, and stand behind what they sell and service.

My experience has been that the Tire Rack ships UPS; if you've got brown out there, you'll get 'em!!
