Tire balancing with aftermarket rims

How is it done? I just took mine in and they put the weights on the outside and it looks horrible! I know this cant be right, my rims are similar to the TT II's. It was done for the rims on the black car in my sig.

My 18" OZ's have stick-on balance weights on the inside of the wheel.
